The Embraer Legacy 450 has completed a record-setting speed run across the Atlantic Ocean.
The midsize business jet departed from Portland, Maine, at 9:25 am, with two pilots and two passengers onboard, landing at Farnborough Airport, UK, six hours and five minutes [6hrs 05mins] later.
The Embraer Legacy 450 landed with minimum NBAA IFR fuel reserve quantity – required by the international governing body the Federation Aeronautique Internationale to be declared a world record.
The National Aeronautic Association (NAA) has already confirmed the flight as a U.S. record.
The recording setting transatlantic speed run occurred in a demonstrator plane equipped with the all new interior Embraer featured at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) aviation show.
